Diabetic foot care
Diabetics are a special group of podiatric patients in whom foot care is extremely important. The course and complications of diabetes can lead to the development of the health- and even life-threatening Diabetic Foot Syndrome (DFS). This is caused by concomitant neuropathy manifested by sensory, touch, temperature and vibration disorders, as well as ischaemia of the lower limbs often manifested by ulcers, infections or destruction of deeper tissues.
Regular visits are one important way to counteract unpleasant foot problems. Correct nail shortening, removal of calluses, calluses and corns on the soles, but also assistance in the selection of optimal footwear, individually fitted orthotic insoles – all this can allow ongoing control of the condition of the feet of diabetic patients. Careful care and attention to the feet of diabetics can effectively minimize the unpleasant and most severe complications associated with the diabetic foot.
With regular treatments, the feet are kept in excellent condition and the podiatrist ensures that the occurrence or recurrence of ulceration or wounds is effectively prevented.
An excellent selection of preparations and therapeutic therapies helps to prevent excessive dryness, cracked heels, calluses, corns, foot and nail deformities, keratosis of the bed, clawed nails, bacterial and fungal infections and much more.
In our clinic, every diabetic will find comprehensive care in the prevention of complications associated with diabetic foot syndrome.
